An awesome pFM source of an awesome early Police show.
You can feel the energy of the band, the crowd, that whole '79 scene
in this show. And it wasn't uncommon for a one-album band to repeat
the hit song at the end of the show. Cool stuff.

This saw some processing; Slight compression>channel distinct lows and mids>
a little spread>some beef and brightness from the BBE>and even more of a
boost to the sub-lows and extreme highs through the multi-band compression of
the digital maximization wonder that is called the L3.

I know it sounds like a lot, it nedded it. But it truly sounds quite awesome now.
Some song ID's were re-focused. The DJ was cut out, so the intro and outro
tracks were clipped to the beginning of the first and the end of the last song,
respectively. Also the DJ before the encore was cut and the "applause" track added to
the end of "Next To You". It'll give some distinction to this being a remaster as well.

Excellent pro-shot with very clear picture and excellent sound.
This version was recorded off MTV and is slightly better then "PRO #1a" but it does not include the soundcheck and has the MTV logo on.

Notes for PRO #1b:

Multi camera PRO-shot video, with soundboard audio, recorded by MTV. Incomplete, television broadcast, version. This show has been broadcast many times, in varying lengths.
A "complete" version (including all the songs, except the soundcheck, and missing some between song downtime) has been broadcast.
Television broadcast versions have superior sound and video quality to the near complete session tape (PRO #1a), but do not feature any soundcheck material.
A digital satellite broadcast has been transferred directly to DVD which includes all songs except for the soundcheck; see Live Nirvana's DVD Guide for more information.
The audio portion is also circulating in DBS>DAT format.

Edit notes:
The show was split in four files and each file contained radio intros/outros/commercials.
I found it irritating, so I deleted all the inbetween radio intros/outros/commercials,
but left the radio intro/outro/commercials in the beginning and in the end of the show intact.

I also did a new track split. Track splitting this show was an excruciating task.
I couldn't quite tell when a song ended and from where the next started, since BS
used their electronical gizmos inbetween the songs. So I decided to let all them electronical
gizmo noises be outros of the songs. Good or bad choice - you decide.

FLAC Frontend options used: level 8 encoding, align on sector boundaries, verify and fingerprints.

Remaster Notes:

This was a hard work to be done. The sixteen audience wives were very loud indeed ;-). So i declipped and levelled the screams a lot.
Sometimes this is to be heard as a shaking of the loudness. On the other hand i wanted to preserve the clapping and sing-along. So this
is a bit of a compromise between for- and background.

The music itself was very thin and high sounding. So i gave it a massive bass boost and reduced the highs.

This is still no Soundboard sound, but for me it works very well.

Ghettochip Malfunction and Black Tambourine were both "live remixed" by the band standing at the front of the stage with drum machines and beck scratching with an ipod.

crowd noise is what it is. The show itself sounds pretty good other than a few incidents with the crowd, mostly the drink waitress that barges through the audience.
Unfortunately she kinda bumped my mic cables and I got a few hits of noise when she did.
