A lot of problems with CD: wasn't opened but import of CD wasn't simple. I imported it, track by track.

Band Info:

Richard Patrick (vocals, guitars, bass, programming, drums) and Brian Liesegang (programming, guitars, keyboards, drums) both experimented with electronics early in their careers. Patrick was a member of the original touring incarnation of Nine Inch Nails. After NIN finished their lengthy first tour in the early '90s, Patrick and Liesegang met through a mutual friend and began to record industrial rock together. Their debut album, Short Bus, released on Reprise in 1995, was recorded by the two at a small house on the outskirts of Cleveland. Short Bus became a surprise hit, thanks to the MTV and alternative radio hit "Hey Man, Nice Shot"; by the end of the summer, the album had reached gold status. In order to tour behind the record, the duo recruited guitarist Geno Lenardo, bassist Frank Cavanaugh, and drummer Matt Walker. Liesegang departed in 1997 over creative differences, but Patrick retained the Filter name for 1999's Title of Record, which eventually went platinum and spawned another radio/MTV hit in the single "Take a Picture." The album also included new drummer Steve Gillis after Walker left to work with the Smashing Pumpkins. Filter's third album, The Amalgamut, followed three years later, after which the band went on a bit of a hiatus. Around 2005, Patrick announced the formation of a new band, Army of Anyone, which he created with former members of Stone Temple Pilots and David Lee Roth's touring band. However, Patrick did not abandon his original band -- Filter returned in 2008 with Anthems for the Damned.

Als einstiger Frontmann von Soundgarden gehört er zu einem
der Begründer des Grunge: Chris Cornell. Seit seinem Ausstieg

schöpfte und sogar ein paar alte Songs von Temple Of The Dog
spielte – dem gemeinsamen Projekt von Chris Cornell und Eddie
Vedder aus dem Jahre 1990. Vor allem aber die vielen
Soundgarden-Fans im Publikum kamen bei dem über zweistündigen
Konzert im Kesselhaus voll auf ihre Kosten...

Chris Cornell (born Christopher John Boyle on July 20, 1964) is an American rock musician best known as the lead singer and songwriter for rock bands Soundgarden (1984–1997) and Audioslave (2001–2007), and for his numerous solo works and soundtrack contributions (1998-2009). He is known for his wide 4 octave vocal range and powerful vocal belting technique. He was the founder and frontman for Temple of the Dog, the one-off tribute band dedicated to his former roommate, Andrew Wood. Comments: this is a super SBD of a really fun show - these two guys are obviously enjoying playing together!
As could be expected, there's lots of offbeat humor packed into the between-song banter, as well as some truly inspired jamming!

I chose to keep the track breaks that were on the discs as I received them, rather than break all the banter into separate tracks (like I usually do)

Notes:

This is the 95th upload of my concerts collection recorded in Lyon (France) between 1982-1990.
All my concerts were recording for Radio-Bellevue and Zap FM, so we have had some technical facilities to record these shows.

It was a pre FM recording for ZAP FM (Lyon).
I used a separate 12 tracks sound desk to mix live the band with pa soundboard outputs + some additional tracks instruments + ambiance mikes.
I was not in a separate room for mixing the show, i was sitting just close to the soundboard desk.
So i used big heavy headphones with amplifier to mix on-the-fly during the show. Not so easy.....
I've done some errors (few) i apologize for them...It takes 2 or songs to find the right mix, the Mano soundman and me.
The master tape was done on a HiFi Video tape recorder and the tape is still readable fortunately.
May be, for me, the hottest concert i've ever seen (and i've seen a lot....) 2000 crazy people jumping, yelling, singing....

lineage (to the best of my knowledge):
DV camera > DV cassettes > PC > DVD

I acquired this DVD through a ‘trade’, but the authoring was (IMHO!) awful. I therefore reauthored
it using TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6.23.73 (chapters + animated menu).

The aspect ratio is widescreen although this was not embedded into the original encodes, you’ll have to adjust that on playback.

In extracting the video and audio from the original disc it became apparent that there are a couple of glitches where
a few frames were somehow dropped, I guess during the original authoring from the look of the original VOBS.
I have fixed these as best as I could, but they are (a little) noticeable during ‘Anthem’ and ‘I Tried To Leave You’.
Also the guy who recorded this missed the very opening of ‘I’m Your Man’, likely because he was changing the tape.

That said, he did a pretty good job encoding the video and audio from the tapes.

Artwork (DVD case cover) is included.
