Die Ärzte (pronounced [diː ˈʔɛːɐ̯tstə], German for "The Doctors" is a punk band from Berlin. Along with the Düsseldorf outfit Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärzte is one of the best-known German punk rock bands.[citation needed] They have released 20 albums. The band consists of guitarist Farin Urlaub, drummer Bela B. and bass player Rodrigo González. All three write and sing.

This Specials concert was broadcasted on December 24, 1979 on France-Inter. I've edited (not so bad ...) Bernard Lenoir chattings during the recording.

This is a collection of BBC studio performances by the Mekons, from their earliest years as a
"band that doesn't know how to play their instruments" to their post-Fear & Whiskey incarnation
as a country-punk-dub-unclassifiable ensemble. It was treed (remember trees?) in this form about
ten years ago by Nobby Knape, keeper of the Club Mekon mailing list; the original source was
reportedly a first-generation cassette, but neither Nobby nor I knows for sure.
A few songs had some pops, others pitch problems, so I cleaned these up a bit myself at the time
in Cool Edit Pro.

This is by no means a pristine document - a couple of songs are cut off at the start,
and there's a good bit of hiss present on most tracks - but, hey, it's the Mekons on the radio in the '70s and '80s.
Compared to, say, the "New York On the Road" official ROIR release, this is hi-fi here.

Band Info:

Arcade Fire is an indie rock band based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and fronted by the husband and wife duo of Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. The band was formed while Win Butler attended Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire, United States. The lineup changed and solidified in 2003 and 2004, during the recording of their first full-length album, Funeral.

The band is known for their live performances and their use of a large number of musical instruments; in addition to the guitar, drums, and bass guitar, the band's members also play instruments such as the piano, violin, viola, accordion, glockenspiel, upright bass, trumpet, and french horn. When asked about the name of the band, lead vocalist Butler stated that it refers to a fire that supposedly occurred in Exeter Arcade.[1]

Arcade Fire has won numerous awards, including both the Meteors 2008 Best International Album award and the Juno Awards 2008 Alternative Album of the Year award for Neon Bible. It has also been nominated for the Best Alternative Music Album Grammy in 2005 for Funeral and in 2008 for Neon Bible.

He was the founder and frontman for Temple of the Dog, the one-off tribute band dedicated to his former roommate, Andrew Wood. Notes:

This is the 95th upload of my concerts collection recorded in Lyon (France) between 1982-1990.
All my concerts were recording for Radio-Bellevue and Zap FM, so we have had some technical facilities to record these shows.

It was a pre FM recording for ZAP FM (Lyon).
I used a separate 12 tracks sound desk to mix live the band with pa soundboard outputs + some additional tracks instruments + ambiance mikes.
I was not in a separate room for mixing the show, i was sitting just close to the soundboard desk.
So i used big heavy headphones with amplifier to mix on-the-fly during the show. Not so easy.....
I've done some errors (few) i apologize for them...It takes 2 or songs to find the right mix, the Mano soundman and me.
The master tape was done on a HiFi Video tape recorder and the tape is still readable fortunately.
May be, for me, the hottest concert i've ever seen (and i've seen a lot....) 2000 crazy people jumping, yelling, singing....
